Field Service Tech for Nationwide Service
I'm looking for a highly organized, detail oriented individual to fulfill a unique set of needs. You would be on the road (out of town by plane most of the time) servicing electrical equipment up to 5 days per week most weeks. Some Saturdays will be involved.
Odds are this job is not right for you. But, if you have electrical/electronics experience, are easily coachable, and have the current lifestyle to live on the road the majority of time, this job could be great for you. *We are looking for the proper candidate to commit to traveling for five years or more.
You’ll have the opportunity to see a lot of the country, creatively think, and solve problems on life safety equipment.
With training, the technical aspect is relatively easy. The hard portion of the job is constantly being on the move, creatively scheduling, being ultra-flexible, and possessing some salesmanship and personality. You will be the face of the company when in the field.
Job Description
Schedule – 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, M-F in office, when not on the road
Inverter Technician with aim to build a full-time travel position for self and eventually hiring a team, with growth opportunity to manage the team.
Full time, nationwide travel, occasionally with little notice
Office duties, customer service, and selling capabilities as required
ISI shirts will be provided. Standard uniform is blue jeans with no holes, not provided.
Any and all jobs as dictated, as we are currently a small company with 23 years in the business.
Benefits
After 90 days, medical benefits to be paid by employer for employee, only
PTO - 15 days after 90 days per calendar year
Paid holidays after 90 days: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (two days), Christmas Day - In the event you are working or traveling on one of these days, you can make it up with time off.
Salary
$49,920/year gross, paid monthly for the first 30 days
After 30 day review and positive status, employee’s gross pay will rise to $52,000/year
After 90 days, employee has the option to waive health benefits in lieu of an extra $3600 gross per year, or stay at the current salary level.
After 12 months of employment, there will be a salary review based upon performance
Contingencies
Employee must retain a clean driving record during employment.
Employee must be able to rent a car.
Employee must pass a physical (paid by ISI) at a medical institution.
Employee must be capable of lifting 100lbs. repeatedly, at times.
Employee must maintain a reliable vehicle and provide insurance, registration, and valid inspection proof.
Employee must maintain a personal credit card for expenses to be reviewed and reimbursed accordingly by ISI for the first 90 days of employment.
